I wasn’t really aware of this until today & just wanted to share. It’s another example of an ever changing landscape, convergence & the fusing of offline/online worlds.
Turn’s out these guys have been using smart TV platforms to live stream content into TV ads. I’d never heard of it before but that’s probably because I’m not a media guy. The basic idea is that content can be continually updated & made ‘time relevant’ based on where you are & what parametres you enter. The Arcade Fire stuff for Downtown is one example:
Another is this stuff from a betting company that is streaming live odds on TV (and no doubt online).

Some great ideas for live music events etc And particularly for those campaign ideas that need lots of self generating/live streamed/humanely relevant content. Lovely.
